Letter From The President
Welcome:
It is with great honor and privilege that I will serve as your 2010 - 2011 President. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my colleagues for allowing me to serve as their voice in the coming year.
I have been practicing law in Berkeley County for almost 27 years and have seen the Legal Community grow tremendously and each year it will continue to grow. One of my main focuses for the 2010 - 2011 year is to reach out to the community at large to build and foster better relations between the Bar and our community. I will also be looking into different ways on how to increase interaction among the Legal Community.
The Berkeley County Bar Association is comprised of more than fifty Attorneys and Judges who live and/or practice law in Berkeley County.
Every member is committed to bridge the gap between the legal community and the general public. Members are committed to excellence in their respective fields and a positive interaction with in the general public and to encourage greater involvement with their local community.
It is with great enthusiasm that the 2010-2011 Bar is committed in continuing to share their knowledge of the law and provide legal information to the general public by offering free public seminars. These free public seminars will share information regarding Probate and Heirs Property issues that are of great interest to our fellow Berkeley County Citizens.
We will seek to provide accessible and useful Continuing Legal Education to our members. We plan to have free seminars for our members regarding current topics of interest.
The Association will seek to expand it's membership to include those Attorneys and/or Judges who frequently practice in Berkeley County.
We welcome and request all members get involved in the upcoming activities, projects, public seminar and CLE that the Association will hold in the upcoming year. We also welcome and request that all members submit any recommendation or request for anything that they would like the Association to take part in and great consideration will be given to get suggestion or request.
Once again, Thanks to all my colleagues for allowing me to be your voice this year in the Berkeley County Bar Association and I look forward to working with you all.
